I find polishing my nails very therapeutic. It's relaxing, helps clear the mind, all in a just-for-me kind of moment. But there is nothing that wipes all that Zen-like calm away like smudging the paint off the nail moments after I've completed my masterpiece. Ahhh! So annoying, right?
I searched around, tested, got some feedback, and here's what I came up with to solve the issue on how not to ruin your fresh polish.
ReneeK3 asked how to get your nails to dry quicker and there were some really great answers. logansmom911 says to run your fresh polish under some cold water. My grandma taught me to do the same and it definitely helps speed up the process. bianchi01 suggests using OPI RapiDry ($17.50 from Amazon) and many agree. My friend says that Avon's Skin So Soft ($3.99) works great to dry nails faster, plus it smells really good (and keeps the mosquitoes away).

I have to recommend a polish that dries fast all on its own. Nic's Sticks by OPI ($6.99 from ULTA) is a handy little pen of color, so you don't have to dip the brush in anything! I polished my nails while I was at work (shhh...once!) and they were dry in time for me to start typing again in about 20 seconds. And you have to check out their website. This image is from the color selector where you can match your skin tone to the color before you make the purchase. How smart is that?
