I had a new mascara in my bathroom for about two weeks before I tried it. I'll be honest with you...I was scared. It's a kind of expensive mascara that "tubes" your lashes instead of "painting" color on them and it's supposed to make them look longer and work better than regular mascara. To remove, you just use warm water and the tubes come off. It came with very specific directions. I thought it would make my lashes fall out. So it sat there on my bathroom counter until I finally gave it a go last weekend.
In case you didn't know, I am a mascara lover. Can't leave home without it. So I was intrigued. Longer lashes? Me likey.
But did I like this new formula for my lashes?
Nope. I didn't think it made them look longer than my favorite drugstore brand mascara, L'Oreal Voluminous, or even the pricier Benefit BADGal Lash.
I will admit that a brand new, never been used before Voluminous takes more uses for me to really get the lash look I like -- I wish the bristles were thicker. But after a couple of uses, they have enough product on them to really make my lashes standout.
But back to the mascara with tubes...even L'Oreal has a version out. It's called Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara and it works the same way. I haven't tried it yet, but am thinking maybe I just don't like the tubes. I will say the tubes are easier to remove than my favorite -- and it didn't make my lashes fall out. Phew.
Have you tried mascara with tubes? What did you think?

I use Imju Fiberwig, which I get at Sephora. It's $22 a tube, but I've tried a LOT of mascaras and it's the first that gets me longer looking, darker, natural looking lashes and doesn't make mine fall out when I wash it off.
Just the fact that I don't feel like I'm going to wake up eyelash-less makes it worth every penny!
There is actually now an FDA approved product called LATISSE you can get from a doctor - try a dermatologist. It requires a prescription, but you apply the solution to your lash line daily and it makes eyelashes longer and thicker. I've seen photos of people who used it, and the results are impressive.
I'm not sure the type I use but I have to put the white on first then the black! I won;t buy it again because one its cost way to much, two doesn;t make them look any different and 3 makes me sick when I see how nasty it looks when it comes off in the shower! I'll still to my cheap wet and wild mas that does the same think for 8 dollars cheaper!!
I use it and I actually do notice a difference.
Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara works really really well, I've been using it for about a month and couldn't be happier.
Good to know! I was actually wondering about this mascara myself.
I'm a beauty advisor and so I am constantly trying new products all the time. I did try this new mascara by Loreal and I was highly dissatisfied with the product. Love the concept it just didn't work for me. I love me my LASH BLAST BY COVERGIRL. Every single girl at my work wears it. You just have to find the rite product that works for you. On a different note there is this great website called MAKEUPALLEY.COM. where they give you reviews on all sorts of different beauty products. Love it.
I didnt notice much of a difference, but then again I am actually blessed with pretty long thick lashes to begin with (and before anyone envy's that, you must know that also comes with longer thicker eyebrows.. so what you spend on mascara, I spend on tweezers and wax). What does always make a difference for me is Clinique High Impact... nothing fancy, just good quality mascara.. people always ask me if I am wearing falsies when I have it on.
I loved Loved LOVED this mascara: philosophy supernatural. They stopped making it which is a sad thing.
