...these schools are all over the country and Canada. With the economy the way it is, cosmetology schools are keeping busy because their prices are often under $25 for a service, which is great for the students to learn as well. Plus, not only do they offer haircuts, but some offer facials, manicures, even massages all at a fraction of the cost. Visit Beauty Schools Directory to find one near you!

My haircuts NEVER cost over $25.
For something like highlights or whatnot that normally would cost a lot, beauty schools are great... as long as you understand there's a chance they might screw up! :)
Oh yeah, used to go to a local beauty school all the time. Nothing beats $5 hair cuts!
i need to find the closet school... jesus does my hair need a makeover!!
I can't fathom wasting 25 bucks on a hair cut, much less more. There are just so many better things to spend money on. If mine needs cutting, I do it myself. That is something I would never pay money for.
Dangit, I left NY at the wrong time! My dream when I was living there was to go to the Arrojo studios and get an completely fabulous haircut and my hair would look hot for ONCE. Everytime I passed Varick St, I longed to step into that studio...Oh well, I guess I can go to Regis. :(
I attended a very nice (and rather prestigious in this state) cosmo school & our haircuts were $12 I think. I really don't remember anyone screwing up horribly because the instructers at that school were like hawks. And you're getting your hair cut by someone who has been taught by people like Wilson Philips ( or Philips Wilson, don't remember which way) that is so good he can charge $700 a cut!!!
I go to Fantastic Sam's, I have a regular stylist there, she does a fabulous job, everytime, and it only costs me including tip!
roachiesmom, if I COULD cut hair, I would. I can't. It looks like trash.
I have cut my own hair since I turned 13. I think I have gone 4 or 5 times in the past 10 years and had it professionally done. I go to a salon when I want a big change. The last time I had it done it cost me 13.99 at Super Cuts lol! ( I tipped and made it an even 20)
I go to Master Cuts in the mall and get my hair cut for $13, lol. The girl went to Bella Capelli beauty school and does it just as good as a luxury cut. I'm very pleased with the results and no one can tell the difference.
