How Many Products Do You Use?

productsAs some of you know, a lot of my family is spread out around the country. I have sister-in-laws in Wisconsin and Colorado, a mother-in-law and another SIL in New Orleans, and a father-in-law in Alabama. We're in New York, and the youngest of the bunch, so we do our best to visit as often as we can. It's tough for everyone, especially during holidays, and I'm sure you know how it can be tough to travel with kids. My biggest problem, though, is traveling with my products.

I have all the travel size containers to hold shampoo and conditioner, but even with the small bottles, when you put all the products together, it's a lot...and it weighs a lot. On our last trip, we were almost charged $90 to check our bag because it was over the weight limit -- we were already paying $25 because of the new rules. I ended up carrying on some shoes to make the weight cut-off, but that's when I realized that I had to downsize. Do I really need all those products?

CafeMom suziqplus1 asked if you use a lot of hair products.

  • 52 percent said just shampoo and conditioner.
  • 12 percents use shampoo, conditioner, and a gel or mousse.
  • 4 percent use shampoo, conditioner, and hairspray.
  • 19 percent use all of the above mentioned.
  • 4 percent said none.
  • 6 percent said other.

This is just talking about hair though.

If you add up all the products you use, including on your body and face (not makeup, just cleansers, toners, creams), how many do you use?
