I need a long lasting lipstick -- any other kind and it's gone within minutes. I'm a huge fan of Revlon ColorStay in Divine Port Wine, but it costs around $9.99. Kind of pricey for a drugstore brand. But I love it, so I splurge.
The other day, while in the drugstore, I decided to try Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Bordeaux ($4.99 at Walgreen's). Almost half the price.
Is it as good as my favorite?
Pretty darn close! My only complaint is that I would get a lighter shade -- it comes in 30 colors so that won't be a problem. It seemed like it was a match to my favorite Divine Port Wine from Revlon, but in fact, it's a lot darker because it more heavily pigmented. But it went on smooth, has a sweet cocoa-buttery scent to it, and lasts and lasts. And I love the tube it's in -- the rich burgundy casing has the Rimmel crown etched in at top. It's an inexpensive lipstick that looks (and feels) expensive.
Have you tried Rimmel's Lasting Finish Lipstick? If so, what's your review?
