I've been to Hershey, Pennsylvania and had a great time at Hershey's Chocolate World and Park, but I have yet to go to The Spa at Hotel Hershey. Oh gosh...I am dizzy just thinking about how amazing it would be to be soaked in chocolate while eating chocolate...pure heaven.
The Spa at Hotel Hershey has many chocolate offerings on their menu -- you can get a Cocoa Massage, Cocoa Facial Experience, Cocoa Whipped Bath, and so much more. Now if you can't get to Hershey, I have a DIY beauty recipe for a chocolate facial you can do right at home.
I found this chocolate face mask recipe online and tried it the other night. It was hard not to eat it...but thankfully I also bought myself some chocolate cake and nibbled on that with the face mask on, while watching The Biggest Loser. OK...what is wrong with that scenario?! Seriously though...it made my skin super smooth -- chocolate, in this case cocoa, is high in anti-oxidants and it also has moisturizing and anti-inflammatory agents.
You will need:
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons of heavy cream (sour cream will work as well)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 teaspoons of oatmeal powder
Oatmeal is a gentle exfoliate and honey deep cleans, helps open pores, and is naturally an anti-bacterial agent.
How to prepare:
Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well blended. Massage onto clean face, avoiding eye area (and try to keep it out of your mouth -- there's only enough for a facial). Leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
Don't want to make your own? Lush sells a chocolate Cupcake mask, but you can only buy it in stores. I called the Lush shop near me and they said it's made fresh each day and cannot be shipped.

Honey is also a greattttttttttttttttt moisturizer for your skin!
(Face or otherwise!)
Slather it on your legs after a bath, let it soak for 10 or 15 minutes...then rinse it clean with warm water.
Super smooth moisturized skin.
(NO joke...it's schweet Honey!)
Sounds yummy!
I'll have to give it a try. Sounds like fun!
