There's a big hubbub buzzing about Newsweek's soon-to-be released cover of VP nominee Sarah Palin. It's not Photoshopped! Gasp! A magazine cover that hasn't been altered?! Now that's controversial. The story is by Jon Meacham and the coverline reads: She's One of The Folks (And that's the problem).
Some say it's done on purpose to show her wrinkles and pores...what do you think?

I have to agree with BrianneD300 - I don't think she looks bad at all. I actually got the magazine yesterday in the mail and hadn't noticed the photo was untouched - I just thought it wa a bit strange to have such a close-up shot of her.
I don't actually see what the hubbub is all about. It's Newsweek, not Vogue. If they had airbrushed her they would have undermined not only her credibility but also that of their own publication.
The close up is probably intentional like cafemama says, but they really couldn't touch that photo and not have the sexism card played.
Some magazine did the same thing with McCain. Took a picture of him in horrible light. I have never in my life, and I just turned 50. Seen so much one sided-ness. I don't watch any news anymore on ABC, CBS, or NBC cause its totally biased. I do however trust Fox news because it always gives BOTH sides opportunity to express feelings.
I got the magazine the other day and thought poor thing. Her mustache is obvious and she needs her eyebrows tweezed. Other than that she looks good.
Godsgirl ~ Fox news is very biased!!
As for the magazine...of course she has wrinkles. Who cares if she isn't airbrushed. I'm not airbrushed in any of my pics.
Wow. I would be freaking out if a CU of my face, pores, wrinkles was on the cover of Newsweek. She looks pretty good.
I think Sarah Plain is gorgeous...the coverline, I could live without. I cancelled my subscription to Newsweek a while back when their far left agenda became apparent. blech.
Fox news ROCKS !
I think she looks great and is being unfairly attacked because she is smart and a well rounded woman who poses a threat to the other side.
