I didn't want to admit it, but I love MTV's new "reality" show The City. It's kind of strange since I didn't watch The Hills (though my friends did and often talked about it), but since I've lived in New York my whole life I was kind of curious what happened to the adorable, doe-eyed Whitney Port when she moved to my hometown.
So now you know why I started watching...here is why I am hooked: Yes it's fun mindless TV and I love being reminded how hard it is to date in NYC, but I really love seeing what the ladies are wearing...and I'm most impressed with their hair!

Whitney (photos at top) goes from straight to wavy to pinned back, twisted, or braided into cute easy styles. It's a great look for moms, really...perfect for when you need to get your hair out of your face or you don't have time to wash it and just want to pull it back.
If your hair is long enough, you can braid a small section of hair and pin or small claw clip it in back. Or you can just twist and pin in place. So cute!
I also love Erin's hair (seen above)! She's Whitney's BFF in the city. She has a great face for bangs.
Please don't tell me that I am the only one watching this show. Whether you watch or not, aren't the hairstyles adorable? They are the perfect looks to pretty your locks for the weekend.
The City is on MTV, Mondays at 10pm EST.

they are absolutely adorable!
I came across it while I was working out the other night and fell IN LOVE with it! I liked The Hills for the most part, but, like yourself, living in NYC makes me relate to this spin-off so much more, and I simply adore Whitney! Oh, and the portrayal of the dating life in the show is so spot-on (ex: "I just do whatever I want to do"-Jay"). Typical NYC guys!
I love the girl's hair with the bangs! Too cute!
I watched the Hills and I watch the City... I even watched a little Bromance.... I love ALL those shows, I don't care HOW silly it makes me. I record them and fast forward through all the commercials, LOL
I wayched the Hills...now I need to check the City out. What day and time does it comes on??
I watched the Hills, and i adnit I haven't checked the City out yet. The hairstyles are cute. And I think the city comes on mon.@10. I'll have to check it out!
I'm watching! honestly.. I think the drama of the "hills" is very high school, and the drama of the city is more real adult life... so it draws me in more.
