I live in my jeans. And so I've found ways to be creative and dress up denim. From a fancy silk top to a plain old tee, you can fancy up any pair of jeans.
I put together four looks in my virtual closet. You don't even have to go to the store to buy new clothes, though. Chances are you have something similar to the looks above to make one of these dressy jeans style swork.
Look 1: Basic jeans with a loose black tank top. You can also substitute in a short or long sleeved tee, too. I like things slightly over-sized so I can wear a belt. I've even worn one of my husband's t-shirts and cinched it with a thin belt and no one would have guessed I was wearing my man's clothes. Wear with a bold necklace or layer a few chains you already have. Match the belt to the shoes -- here I chose a neutral brown for both.
Look 2: Colorful dress over jeans. This opens your wardrobe right now to find some of those spring and summer dresses to pair with denim. Wear with a fancy shoe and some dangling earrings and you're all dressed up!
Look 3: Delicate lace to add femininity. This simple lace top instantly dolls up the look. I paired with decorative ballet flats and some thick bangle bracelets. I hardly ever wear bracelets because I am on the computer a lot, but when I do, I instantly feel dressy.
Look 4: Silky bold colors. Anything silk and anything in a bold color that goes well with your skin tone will instantly take a pair of jeans from the playground to the party. You can even wear with a semi-rugged pair of boots over your jeans. Add a feather headband and hello glamour!
