Gwyneth Paltrow's New Organic Goop Skin-Care Line Is Safe for Everyone (Who Can Afford It)

Gwyneth Goop Who wouldn't want to have flawless celebrity skin? Well, now you can get closer to achieving Gwyneth Paltrow's gorgeous glow than ever before! The actress and purveyor of all things Goop-y has just launched her new organic vegan skin-care line. And, as you'd imagine, it's going to cost you!

But, seriously, we're talking about a woman whose holiday gift guide included a $40 Rosewood Handle Truffle Slicer. (You know how pesky those truffles can be when they see you coming toward them with just any old slicer, or, heaven forbid, a regular old knife!)

But we suppose if you're eating truffles so frequently that you require a special slicer, this collection, featuring six products, may be reasonably priced in your opinion. Plus, we should know better than to think we'd find these beauty potions, crafted in partnership with Juice Beauty, on sale at our local CVS, right? Duh.

So just what's the Academy Award winner hocking now? Enriching Face Oil, for one thing. (Wait, I thought we were trying to minimize facial oil. So confused! Help, Gwynnie!) It'll set you back $110 per ounce. Why so pricey? Because poet's daffodil, one the magic elixer's ingredients, does not come cheap!

More from The Stir: How to Get the Most Stunning Oscar Beauty Looks

According to the Goop website, the former Mrs. Chris Martin "developed every product to her own exacting standards." Further, a third-party independent study of 32 women between the ages of 35 and 65 was conducted "to validate the efficacy of the goop by Juice Beauty formulas."

Hmmm. Will fewer than three dozen women be enough to convince you to try these products? Gwyneth is banking on it!

What inspired the actress and mom of two to move into the skin-care biz, you ask? Her commitment to clean and chemical-free living, of course. As she wrote of her products, "We literally did not rest until we had a set of six products that are, quite simply, perfect. Safe enough for our daughters, and powerful enough for those of us who have maybe spent too much time in the sun."

Of course, it sounds great to us, as do most things Gwyneth champions (with the exception of vagina steaming). If only you didn't have to be a Hollywood A-lister to afford it!
