You'll need a steady hand, a few colors, and a swiping brush. A tiny paintbrush will do, and some even just use toothpicks. But if you want to purchase one, Winning Nails Thin Red Sable Nail Art Striping Brush ($9.99, sallybeauty.com) works well. Below are suggested colors, but of course go wild and choose your own color combos.

Step 2: Apply two coats of a ice blue or very light blue/gray to nails. And let dry. JINsoon's Kookie White ($18, jinsoon.com) and Essie's Find Me An Oasis ($8.50, essie.com) are great picks.

Step 3: Draw a heart in a bright red or pink on bottom or top of each nail using a striping brush, positioning the heart in any direction. You can choose where you want to put these hearts, but put some at the lower part of the nail, and others at the tip. Check out these pops of bright -- JINsoon's Coral Peony ($18, jinsoon.com) and Whim's Ripe From The Tree ($10, ulta.com).

Step 4: Now draw hearts with a light blue on the opposite end of the nail where the red/pink heart is. Also play with the positioning of the heart. Allow hearts to dry. We love Revlon Nail Enamel in Trendy ($6.99, drugstore.com) and Jinsoon's Poppy Blue ($18, nordstrom.com).

Step 5: Using a black polish, draw strokes with the striping brush around the heart designs. Make some curved and some straight.
