Jennifer Aniston's Makeup Confession Makes Her Even More Beautiful

When we look at celebs like Jennifer Aniston who seem to never age, I think we assume there has to be some makeup tricks going on. Which I'm sure there is especially when it comes to award shows. But there is something about Aniston that is so natural, even when she's got some gloss and mascara on. The actress opened up about what she really thinks about makeup and it makes me love her even more. She says exactly what so many of us are thinking.

While talking to The Huffington Post about the new campaign she's in for Aveeno called Unscripted Beauty, Jennifer was asked about the makeup-free trend popular with many celebs on Instagram. She said:

I think it's fantastic! Makeup is a pain in the butt! I think it’s great that what we have is beautiful.

When I was younger, I think I took a lot for granted and would beat myself up over things that were unnecessary. Now it's like, whatever state I'm in, whatever shape my body's in [works for me]. I think you just have to really appreciate that this is what's beautiful, this is you!

She's right. We all beat ourselves up over things that are unnecessary -- meaning we come in all shapes and sizes. We have noses that all look different, there are so many different shapes and sizes of eyes and lips, but what really truly shines through is a smile. Corny? Maybe. But isn't it true that happiness is the real beauty? Being happy in one's skin, with yourself, within. That happiness, that confidence gives us something that no bottle of concealer can do.

I love that she admits that makeup is a "pain in the butt." It truly is -- and it can be a waste of time. I'm not saying I'm throwing away my mascara and tinted lip balm just yet -- because I'm not. But I do know that less is more -- and that includes time spent on applying and how much makeup you apply.

Beauty is within us. Not in a bottle. Thanks for the reminder, Jennifer.

What do you think of Jen's message? Makeup is a pain in the butt, isn't it?
