Blake Lively Is Too Beautiful for Words At 'The Age of Adaline' Premiere (PHOTO)

New mama Blake Lively has better things to do than keep everyone who follows her on social media informed about her post-baby weight loss or waist training/exercise techniques (assuming she has any). She has a new film, The Age of Adaline, to promote, a 3-month-old baby girl named James to care for, and a lifestyle brand to run. None of which kept her from looking utterly breathtaking at the New York premiere of her new movie.

Blake, 27, attended the premiere with her mom and brother, Eric, perhaps leaving her 38-year-old hubby, Ryan Reynolds, on baby duty. She wore a totally glam, elegant, but at the same time over-the-top Monique Lhuillier red creation and was dripping in $5 million worth of diamonds:

People seem to be really torn on how they feel about this gown, though I'm not sure why. Obviously, this look is not for shrinking violets and it takes a lot of guts to pull off lace, an extreme drop-waist, and a voluminous feathered skirt. But Blake looks stunning, and I needn't mention the fact that she gave birth, like, five minutes ago.

The fire-engine hue is perfect for her complexion and hair, her makeup is subtle and puts all of the focus on that dress, and she was smart enough to leave her necklace at home. She simply doesn't need one because that lace bodice is so dramatic that it doubles as a gorgeous accessory.

If you have the stature and confidence to carry off an interesting gown like this one, I say go for it. Blake isn't one to shy away from taking fashion risks, but she always wears pieces that complement her figure and style—and I think she looks amazing.

What do you think about Blake's gown?
