Say "Coachella style" and we picture a barely-there bikini top with a suede fringed jacket and teeny-tiny cutoff shorts, flash tattoos, a flower crown, elaborate braids, and sunglasses. But it's not all wacky boho style at the festival. We scoured the weekend's photos for some spring beauty and fashion inspiration we can actually wear -- in real life, outside a music festival.

What's your favorite look from Coachella -- and where would you wear it?

All those long, gauzy, white capes and peek-a-boo crochet dresses at Coachella are just too impractical for real life. But singer Alex Newell shows how those trends can be tamed into something more wearable, in a white shorts romper with knee-length jacket.

  • Purple Lipstick

If the electric-purple lipstick Rihanna wore this weekend is too wild for you, there are more subtle versions you could try. The plum this woman in the photo is wearing looks just edgy enough. Or you could try the very popular MAC Smoked Purple lipstick.

And speaking of purple, I spotted a lot of hair dyed a deeper hue than the one made famous by Kelly Osbourne. Instead of a winter pastel lavender, the spring/summer version is a darker plum.

  • Tiered Sundress

I'm seeing a lot of floaty, tiered sundresses like this one. The chunky, medallion silver necklace and quirky sunglasses keep it from looking too prissy. And don't you love that sun parasol?

  • Pastel Sunglasses

Sunglass frames have gone thick and pale so far this spring. Goodbye, aviators! Another biggie is the big, vaguely ethnic silver necklace. Get one now and wear it with everything every day this summer.

  • Big Felt Hat

You know that giant, black felt hat everyone was wearing this winter? It was still all over the place at Coachella. But this paler light brown version looks a lot more summery. I love it with this bold gold and silver necklace and black top. And talk about excellent sun protection!

  • Sleeveless Shirtdress

The shirtdress is very much happening this spring and summer. Here's a pretty pink one, looking crisp and cool with espadrilles.

  • Stripes With a Belt

Here's more shirtdress inspiration, this time from Gigi Hadid. Her beachy striped dress looks pulled together with the leather tie belt and ankle boots.

  • Little White Dress

Kate Bosworth dressed up her little white dress with an embroidered jacket and studded suede ankle boots and pretty much won Coachella.

  • Printed Jumpsuit

Maybe the best way to wear one of these patterned jumpsuits is to keep it as simple as possible -- no crazy jewelry, no belts, no ankle-twisting heels, just plain black sneakers.

  • Floral Maxi Dress

No surprise to hear H&M came out with a Coachella collection. Here's a piece you'll probably want to live in all spring (with a jacket) and summer -- Bella Thorne looks sweet in their floral maxi dress.

  • Stripes With Denim Skirt

The button-up denim skirt is still going strong this spring. It looks sharp here with a black and white cropped t-shirt and bright red frame sunglasses.
