We Found It: The Swimsuit Every Mom Will Want in 2015 (PHOTOS)

land's end swim preview 2015It may be the merry and bright holiday season, but unless you live in SoCal or Florida, the weather outside is probably rather frightful. That's why I couldn't help but feel gleeful to spend my morning at the Lands' End 2015 Swim Preview, transported from gloomy city streets in December to a sunny and light seashore getaway in June. The mission, which I certainly chose to accept: Find the swimwear bound to be a hit this coming spring and summer. And we made a special point to check out the latest Lands' End collection, because they have a rep for creating on-trend styles that are fashionable, functional, and fit real women.

Not only do they carry a bevy of sizes (regular, plus, petite, TONS of customized bra cups), but they actually fit their swimwear on living, breathing human beings -- not mannequins! And they're known for suits of varying levels of modesty and for different body types -- some with shaping technology, some with skirts, others with bikini tops, you name it!

So, of course, we were curious what they're thinking the next hot style for moms would be! Turns out, we weren't at all disappointed!

The biggest discovery by far had to be one absolutely stunning bathing suit -- destined to be a major hit with all women, especially moms! Feast your eyes, ladies.

The blouson style of the tankini looks ultra-flattering and airy -- not to mention that it's the go-to look for so many moms who are a bit self-conscious about their "mummy tummy." And the fuchsia! Gorgeous! All bets on this suit becoming THE one to have this coming year.

That said, maybe one of their dresskinis, adjustable tankinis, or even swim leggings are more your speed. Check out the other styles we spied at the event (some that are already available to purchase!) below, then tell us: Which of these styles could you see yourself in next year?

  • Light Shaping One-Piece

If intense, Spanx-like compression isn't for you, but you want to be cinched in slightly, this ruched, chocolate brown one-piece with pretty beading detail at the neckline could be your top choice!

  • Beach Living Dresskini Top

Love the playful nautical print and A-line of this halter dresskini ($79, landsend.com), which can be worn over any swim bottoms, just like a sundress. Oh, plus, it can be worn in and out of the water. How convenient!

  • Halter One-Piece

If you're like me and adore retro-glam looks, this solid, halter, sweetheart neck one-piece may be your cup of tea. It's the perfect combo of classic and sexy thanks to slight cut-outs on the side (goes into a bra strap in the back), and that emerald green hue is going to be BIG in '15!

  • Slender Knot Front Swimdress

Want a bathing suit that could easily double as a cocktail dress? Boom -- this Slender Knot Front Swimdress ($129, landsend.com) is it! Okay, so maybe you don't need it to be a cocktail dress, but this shaping swimdress is so versatile, you wouldn't really have to worry about throwing on a cover-up if you're running up to the boardwalk or somewhere else you'd need to be a bit more modest. Low-maintenance and elegant? Yes, please!

  • Swim Crop Leggings

Whether you're running after the kids, playing a water sport, or doing beach yoga, Lands' End's designers figured women might want to make their favorite piece of clothing (leggings!) part of their swim collection, too! Smart cookies, they are. These Swim Crop Leggings ($55, landsend.com) can be paired with any bikini or tankini top.

  • Polka Dot Dress Cover-Up

This mod-inspired, polka dot cover-up looks more like something Kate Middleton would wear than a swimsuit, and that's a wonderful thing! Made of swim fabric, you can get splashed or even dive in and still look fab. Plus, it'll hold its shape and resist wrinkling. In other words, it's a smart, easy choice for moms to tote wherever they're headed!

Lands' End popular Swim Tee ($39, landsend.com) isn't just super-pretty and chic in this deep pink stripe print, or super-functional because it works in the water as a rash guard and out of the water as a cover-up. It's also raising money for an important cause: Lands' End will donate $5 to BreastCancer.org for every one purchased.

  • Adjustable Tankini Top

This ingenious tankini top ($59, landsend.com) is customizable, so you can fit it to your liking by wearing it more like a sweetheart neck or drawing it up for max coverage. But that's just a bonus, because like all the other suits Lands' End offers, the material boasts UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) 50 sun protection.
