rita ora american music awardsThe 2014 American Music Awards were last night, and someone forgot to wear a dress and showed up practically naked! We'll tell you who, but we should warn you about our roundup. It may be just a tad NSFW. Yes, there was plenty of weird and wacky at last night's awards, but there were also breathtaking looks that made us swoon.

Take a look, and tell us: Who you think looked the best and worst last night?

  • Best: Jennifer Lopez

Did you know? Jennifer Lopez stopped by her local CVS and bought a roll of ACE bandages to wrap around herself for tonight's show. Haha, kidding! Actually, she looks amazing in this pale Reem Acra gown. I wanted to hate the goofy mummy wrappings but her super-toned abs talked me out of it. So fine, I surrender: JLo made this work in the best way.

  • Worst: Diana Ross

How many pigeons did Diana Ross personally strangle for this feathered stole? The world may never know ...

More from The Stir: Khloe Kardashian Looks Skinnier Than EVER in Curve-Hugging Dress

  • Best: Jordin Sparks

Jordin Sparks looked like a goddess in her gleaming, figure-hugging Halston Heritage gown. Her glamorous disco-era curls are spot-on for the look. Wowza!

  • Worst: Rita Ora

Love the color, but Rita Ora seemed completely upstaged by her dramatic Zac Posen gown. You know the saying: Wear the dress, don't let the dress wear you. And I really didn't understand the point of the giant cup bodice. Does it double as a handbag? Can she carry lipstick, a bottle of water, and a copy of War and Peace in there? Because between that and her long train, it was like her dress was actually leaning away from her body, like it didn't want to be seen with her!

  • Best: Giuliana Rancic

How much do I love this Alex Perry gown on Giuliana Rancic? It's perfect for her body shape, sexy without being dumbed-down revealing, and just a bit edgy with the details (that bit of snakeskin!). And her lace-up stilettos add a lovely bit of contrast.

  • Worst: Meghan Trainor

Suffice it to say that Meghan Trainor's dress was not all about that bass. And that's okay! But I really think her stylist should have done better by this Best New Artist of the Year nominee. The black lace and satin ensemble by Ted Baker of London is weirdly old-lady and drains Trainor's delicate coloring. And why is she covering herself up with her hair? Loved her lips clutch, though.

  • Best: Kendall Jenner

Like many of you, I too was wondering, "What the hell are the Kardashians doing here?!?" Kendall, Kylie, and Khloe showed up in their fancy dresses, and I'll grudingly admit, they all looked gorgeous. But I especially liked Kendall's semi-sheer Yigal Azrouel gown over the boy shorts.

  • Worst: Frankie Grande

We don't usually include dudes on in our best/worst roundups, but Ariana's bro Frankie Grande wore a painted-on shirt. A white, short-sleeved, painted-on shirt with a painted-on bow tie. Should we just be grateful he wore real pants? Points for creativity! But no. Just -- no.

  • Best: Fergie

Fergie looked sensational in her gown, which was Halston Heritage, too. We love the simple black dress with gold belt and sandals.

  • Worst: Bleona

WHO? Bleona Qereti, recording artist/entertainer and new star of Bravo's Euros of Hollywood. WHAT? A mesh "naked" dress with pasties and a thong just like Rihanna's (good job being original!). WHERE? On the damn TV. Hope your kids were in bed by then! WHEN? Last night. I'm sorry, it was not a nightmare. WHY? Attention, obviously. I guess it worked!
