miranda lambert cma 2014Did you catch the CMA Awards last night? We know the show is all about the music, but we couldn't help gasping at some of the gorgeous looks on the red carpet -- and the baffling fashion gaffes too. From the most glowing pregnant star in country music to the most bonkers LED-lit outfit ever worn by a pop princess (maybe the only?), here are the 10 best and worst fashions of the 2014 CMAs.

What was your favorite look from last night?

  • Best: Miranda Lambert

Miranda Lambert worked a pale pink retro look beautifully this year. The deco-style Bibhu Mohapatra gown is beautifully draped and figure-flattering, with just the right amount of daring. And how much do we love her adorable wavy bobbed look and that striking maroon lipstick?

  • Worst: Ariana Grande

So many things about Ariana Grande's appearance at the CMAs confused us. Like, why did she dress like Tron in this bizarre little silver number trimmed with neon LED lights? And what was she even doing there?!?

  • Best: Lily Aldridge

By now we're so over feeling scandalized about sheer gowns that make it obvious the wearer is going commando. Which is a good thing, because Victoria's Secret Angel Lily Aldridge looks perfectly elegant in this Calvin Klein Collection slip of a dress.

  • Worst: Kellie Pickler

Some folks loved Kellie Pickler's sheer paneled, studded navy blue gown, but we think there's just too much going on here. The patterns on the squares of her skirt look fussy and seem plunked on there for no reason. But hey, props for taking a fashion risk.

  • Best: Lucy Hale

Lucy Hale surprised us all by getting her locks chopped just before the awards. She looks chic in her red Romona Keveza gown with patent leather belt.

  • Worst: Kacey Musgraves

Y'all, what was with Kacey Musgraves' hair? We loved her dress, but she's seriously channeling Barbra Streisand a la Funny Girl, and it's just bizarre.

  • Best: Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood glowed at the CMAs this year, and not just because she's expecting a baby. Her golden Lorena Sarbu dress enhanced her natural radiance.

  • Worst: Nicole Kidman

We're not quite sure why Nicole Kidman decided to wear a wedding dress to the CMAs this year. Don't get us wrong -- the sheer, lacy Roberto Cavalli gown is divine. It's just that it's also incredibly bride-like. Is she marrying THE MUSIC???

  • Best: Danielle Bradbery

CMT's Next Women of Country artist Danielle Bradbery kept her grown-up, elegant black gown youthful with a long, Elsa-like fishtail braid. The flesh-toned panel kept her plunging neckline tastefully age-appropriate.

  • Worst: Faith Hill

We almost love Faith Hill's slinky Naeem Khan gown -- but what's with the high, prim, 1980s office blouse bow at the top? I simply don't understand why anyone would ruin a gorgeous dress like that.
