Want your hair to smell good enough to eat? You may want to consider giving pumpkin shampoo a try. But Robin Longo of Renaissance Salon warns that women who have color-treated hair should look for ones without artificial color added (Gnarly Whale, $17).

"You don't want to spend a fortune on your color only to ruin it with the wrong shampoo," Longo explains.

Experts say as long as the color comes from beta-carotene, which gives the pumpkin its bright hue rather than artificial dyes, you should be good to go.
