when l just found out l was pregnant l got sunburned really bad on my shoulders and back, with blisters and all. l had no idea the New Zealand sun was that strong, l didn't know  your skin changes when pregnant (regarding to staying in the sun)

as l was not a New Zealander my family doctor told me (a bit ?) off and taught me all about the ' slip, slap, slop' -methods they teach new New Zealand mums when taking baby out (in the sun)

Those look like some painful burns! Living in FL, sunscreen is one thing we take very seriously (all year round).

The only bad sunburn I ever had was one year when I got a new bathing suit mid summer. I was already very tan, so (silly me) did not use sunscreen. However, the new suit was a little more low cut than the old one, and I had a huge blister in my cleavage. Not a good experience!
