10 Ways to Pamper Yourself for $25 or Less (PHOTOS)

No matter where you live or who you are, if you're a woman, chances are you're a tired womanWith so much to think about -- kids, home life, work, investments, love life -- it doesn't often feel like we get a whole lot of time to think of ourselves, or even better, to pamper our weary bones.

Who can blame us? Most beauty treatments are totally expensive and there's very little point shelling out lots of money to look better if we're just going to feel guilty afterwards for spending an arm and a leg. But, if you ever find yourself with an extra $25 to squander and a little bit of well-earned free time, you may want to consider one of these 10 ways to easily -- and affordably -- get yourself looking even more gorgeous.

  • Visit a Blow Dry Bar

The best part of getting a haircut isn't always the cut itself -- it's the amazing blow-out your stylist gives you that you can never, ever recreate at home. Salons in many cities are now offering affordable blow dry treatments -- no shampoo, no conditioner, no scissors -- you just sit in a chair, and 20 minutes later, you emerge with smooth, gorgeous hair that lets you get away with skipping a wash for 2 or 3 days.

  • Hair Gloss or Glaze Treatment

Getting your hair professionally colored can be a real expense. A much more affordable alternative is to visit a salon for a clear hair gloss or glaze, which conditions, brightens, and sometimes even tones your hair. You'll feel like you just stepped out of a hair commerical and will not be able to resist running your hands through your glossy locks for the next week or so. If your salon doesn't offer this treatment, consider purchasing an at-home glaze like Fekkai Salon Glaze ($9.09 on Amazon.com).

  • Back or Foot Massage

Stressful day at work? One of the quickest and cheapest ways to eliminate tension and improve circulation is to get a 20-minute foot or back massage. Many nail salons offer this option on the cheap, and although the setting will be no-frills, who cares as long as someone is rubbing your tired muscles?

  • Get a bikini wax

Sure, you could easily shave for free in your shower in the morning, but if it's been awhile, you will rejoice when you remember how much easier it is to take the temporary pain and get a good bikini wax that lasts for weeks. This is the most affordable way to feel sexier in less than 15 minutes.

  • Tint Your Eyebrows

One of the quickest ways to brighten up your face and sharpen your look is to tint your eyebrows at a salon. By simply deepening the hue of your brows by a shade or two, your eyes instantly pop and your skin looks more magical.

  • Faux Eyelash Application

Faux eyelashes open up your beautiful peepers in a major way, but they can be difficult -- and messy -- to apply at home. If you have a special event to attend, or simply feel like trying a new look, trust a pro to apply your lashes, which will actually last a few days.

  • Extraction-Free Facial

You may love the way your skin looks after a talented facialist extracts all the trapped oils and dead skin cells from your skin, but considering the prices most spas charge, it's no wonder why an hour-long facial is a luxury for most women. Many skincare spots offer mini facials, which are much less expensive and often include a thorough cleansing, mask, and moisturizing treatment. You won't receive the extractions we all love so dearly, but you'll look as refreshed and dewy as a morning rose.

  • Teeth Whitening Treatment

Professional teeth whitening treatments can cost upwards of $300, but some of the kits available in stores are fantastic -- and really work. Crest 3D White Whitestrips Dental Kit, Vivid ($23 on Google) promise whiter teeth in just 10 days. Can you think of a better investment than your smile?

  • Nail Polish Change & Callus Remover

If you're pressed for time but would love it if your hands and feet didn't look like such a wreck, ask your salon for a simple polish color change to alter your look. Many will also remove your calluses without insisting you pay -- and sit -- for an entire pedicure.

  • Buy a Bright Shade of Lipstick

I saved the easiest way to satisfy your need to indulge for last -- buy a more vivid and interesting shade of lipstick than you currently own. And don't be afraid to experiment! A cheery option like Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Coral Blossom ($16 at Sephora) will brighten any dreary winter day and match all your spring looks once the weather warms up.
