Well, another celebration of Christmas has come and gone, and all royal watchers' eyes were glued on England to see what Duchess Catherine would wear at St. Mary Madgalene Church, the church on Queen Elizabeth's Sandringham Estate, for the late-morning Christmas services. Our bet was on Kate's Christmas outfit featuring maroon or red -- like last year, when she went to services with the Middletons, and in 2011, when she was photographed in a maroon coat. But the only constant that remained were the Kiki McDonough green amethyst earrings she's worn every year!
For the traditional walk home from church, the Duchess opted for her tartan Alexander McQueen Black Watch coat (which she last wore in November 2012 to play field hockey at her old prep school), a new green suede Gina Foster hat, and her go-to Aquatalia Rhumba black, knee-high suede boots. And in the festive forest green ensemble, she's never looked lovelier.
As always, it's fantastic that most of the outfit is "recycled." She even paired the Rhumba boots with the coat the last time she was photographed in it! But thanks to the Gina Foster hat, it felt ike a whole new, formal, but still feminine and modern look. And I love how she opted for the Rhumba boots this time around, as well, because it kept the look more current, youthful. She could've easily went with a basic black Mary Jane pump (L.K. Bennett, of course!), but the boots were edgier -- and probably also a lot warmer! Perfect!

Not to mention a look that wouldn't be at all difficult to replicate, if you're so inclined to rock the Duchess's polished, preppy, and ever-so-chic Christmas style!
