We may feel like we're pretty much in the dark when it comes to Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's official relationship status, but there's one development in KStew's life that's for certain: Her new fashion gig! Yesterday, Chanel announced that the actress will be the new face of their 2013-2014 d’Art Paris-Dallas collection ad campaign. Fittingly, the same day, Kristen attended the Chanel “Metiers d’Art Show” in Dallas, Texas with friend and The Runaways co-star Dakota Fanning, where the collection was first debuted.
Kristen's campaign will reportedly be shot by Karl Lagerfeld, whom she met in Paris at a photo shoot when she was being photographed in -- again, how perfect is this? -- Chanel Haute Couture. Sounds like she made quite the impression on the big mouth fashion designer.
All we know about the campaign so far is that it's going to feature KStew as a Chanel cowgirl, as imagined by Karl. That should be interesting. And that said, I guess I can see why he would have gone with someone who is notoriously tomboyish in her sense of style for the job. But if they were thinking of using Kristen for any sort of classic Chanel campaign -- with black and white moody shots featuring pearls and old Hollywood or Parisian glam -- I would've said they were nuts!

By the way, is it a little bit ironic that she's now on-board with Chanel just as Rob is making headlines for his work with competing fashion house Dior? Could that say anything about their relationship -- or lack thereof? Hmmm!
At any rate, this development is a proud one for Kristen, whose other fashion work to date has been posing for Balenciaga’s fragrance, Florabotanica. Can't wait to see the new campaign in 2014!
