Kim Kardashian's Next Wedding Dress Could Be a HUGE Mistake (PHOTO)

kim kardashian kanye westKim Kardashian has been engaged for less than a week, but the buzz about what Kimye's wedding day is going to look like has already begun! Specifically, bridal gown designers appear to be lining up already to woo the reality princess with sketches of dresses she may want to consider whenever she's ready to start shopping. Crazy, yes, but believable? Of course!

For instance, bridal designer Theia, who has celeb fans like Carrie Underwood, Lindsay Lohan, and Taylor Swift, has already released a sketch that creative director Don O'Neill reportedly produced "just hours after the announcement" of Kim and Kanye's engagement. (Hmm ... that awkward moment when you wonder if maybe this and other sketches were drawn up so quickly, because they were actually drawn for her August 2011 nuptials to Kris Humphries? Heh.)

At any rate, here's what O'Neill is picturing for Kim's third trip down the aisle ...

I chose this silhouette as it will flatter her amazing curves and fit like a second skin. It has lavish attention to detail with its intricate Swarovski crystal, silver lined glass bead embroidery and miniature handmade silk flowers. It's a confection of silk organza but on a simple and dramatic silhouette. The crystal and handmade silk organza flowers and petals create rich texture on the bodice flowing down to the dramatic mermaid skirt. ... This skirt has a blush pink lining, and the ivory flowers on the skirt are delicately tipped with blush pink.

No. Sorry. It's gorgeous, but just -- no! For one thing, she's not a "spring chicken" anymore, as my mother would say, and that's reason enough to forgo a frou-frou dress. For another, this is her third wedding. She may picture herself a nouveau Liz Taylor who could do it up wedding after wedding after wedding, but even Liz started to tone her bridal style down a notch after a while ...

After going way over-the-top with the tulle bridal ballgown for her "I do"s to Kris Humphries, it would simply feel gauche to keep the drama at such a fever pitch with her next dress. This time around, she would do well to go simpler, cleaner lines, more muted -- aka sophisticated not showy. And as for who'll get to design it? Why not her and her designer beau? Now, that would be the key to a dress to remember.

What kind of dress do you think Kim should wear for her third wedding? Do you agree an extravagant gown is all wrong for a third wedding?
