The glamorous gowns are usually what most people are buzzing about the day after any awards show, but it's clear that after the Emmys, Claire Danes' new bob "haircut" is what caught the most attention on the red carpet.
This is a pretty big switch from the gorgeous long locks that are usually falling around her shoulders, but don't worry -- her 'do isn't exactly permanent.
Yep. Claire's hairstyle is totally fake. No, it's not a wig -- it's a faux bob, meaning that her long hair is tucked up underneath where you can't see it.
Whew! That's a relief. Not that this look isn't very becoming on Claire or anything. She pulled it off perfectly, but again, it would've been a pretty huge leap for her to hack off that many inches of hair.
By going the temporary route, she had a chance to try a brand new style on for size without having to worry about waking up the next day and realizing she made a huge mistake.
I know, I know -- hair always grows back, so even if you take the plunge and chop it all off, it will eventually reappear. But still, it's kind of a scary move for a lot of women, particularly if you've been wearing your hair long for quite some time like Claire.
And while it does suit her -- I definitely prefer her with longer locks. I've said it before and I'll say it again -- for some reason, I feel like hair this short adds at least five years to a woman's age, which isn't necessarily a good thing. (Especially in Hollywood.)
Claire has been blessed with a very youthful appearance, and something tells me she probably wants to keep it that way for as long as she can. (Hence the faux bob.)
She has at least a few more years before she resorts to the "mom" haircut, right?
Do you think Claire should cut her hair and go the bob route for real?
