Shoes for Every Mama

Frye Sam Double Shaft boots

When it comes to politics, sex, and shoes, women have a strong opinion. And shoes are often a hot-button topic with heeled ladies on one side and women who love flats on the other. I'll admit that I am on the heel side. I feel off-kilter if wearing anything less than two inches. I know, it sounds crazy, but I get blisters if I wear flats since I've worn heels for most all of my adult life. Wedges are my comfort shoe. I can walk miles in a great pair of wedged boots. But not everyone can or wants to.

Lots of ladies just don't do high heels (the verdict is still out on if they are good for babies). But according to a poll by TMFord called What's Your Favorite Shoe, after 223 votes, here's the rundown...

  • 45 percent said they prefer comfortable shoes
  • 21 percent said two inches or more
  • 17 percent said flats
  • 12 percent said tennis shoes
  • 3 percent said anything would do

Puma Speeders

Jakesmom000 responded, "I like my platform sandals or my pink sneakers!" Pink sneakers sound cute, so I found these Puma Speeders for $60 (from Piperlime).

I can also attest that the Sam Double Shaft boots from Frye ($302 from Zappos) are super comfy. They may be a bit pricey, but they'll last forever, are timeless, and would look really cute with jeans or a dress. These by Rocket Dog are just $64.95 (from DSW, not pictured) and look a lot like Frye's classic boot.

Coeur Et Ame Flats

The ladies who love flats might love Coeur Et Ame Flats ($68 from Anthropologie). They are so cute in green, I might even consider trying them on.

Lela Rose Quincy Dorsay

And for the heel lovers, I am obsessed with Payless' great
designer selections. I already own a pair of Abaete booties ($45 from Payless) and really want Lela Rose's Quincy Dorsay Bow Pump ($35).
