Reese Witherspoon Gets Insanely Expensive Haircut for You-Won't-Believe-How-Much

Ewww! 6

reese witherspoonWhat's the most expensive haircut you've ever gotten? I once spent a little over $100 on a haircut. Yes, it was fabulous, and the only haircut I got (or needed) that entire year; and yes, I'm embarrassed to even write that, because it's gross. But I know that my indulgence doesn't hold a candle to what some people spend on their hair -- namely celebs. Namely, Reese Witherspoon and her reported $1,500 haircut.

Oh, you think $1,500 is too much to spend on a cut, sane person? Well, let me tell you about this haircut -- each strand is cut individually.

Her hair was cut by famed stylist Rossano Ferretti at his Beverly Hills salon. Ferretti apparently rarely ever comes to the United States, unless it's for a major client like Reese. (Fun fact: Kate Middleton was spotted at Ferretti's London salon a few weeks before birth.) He trimmed Reese's locks using "The Ferretti Technique", which treats each strand of hair individually in order to create a full look. Ferretti's site reads: "Each strand of hair has its own structure and movement ... With sensibility and care, the designer treats each strand its own way, in order to achieve the most natural effect. This belief is why haircuts by Metodo Rossano Ferretti are so subtly carved, to create a harmonious image each time. A haircut that is like a work of art."

I'm all for beauty indulgences now and again, and if I had the money, I'm not ashamed to admit it, I'd totally get expensive haircuts and facials and whatnot all the time. But I really don't think under any circumstance I'd ever get a $1,500 haircut on principle alone. That's farking ridiculous. Especially for a person like Reese, who already has nice hair.

In other news, who the hell has the time or wants to sit in a salon chair while each strand of hair is cut individually? I'd imagine it would start getting unrelaxing at around the six-hour mark. Reese, you cray.

Would you ever spend this much on a haircut?

When I get my hair colored and highlighted, I start getting annoyed after 1 hour. I don't want to talk anymore, just hurry up and get it done. While I think it would be cool to get my hair cut like this, I just couldn't do it.

She has lost it. The arrest really has soured her to me. She's just like all the other celebs. Meanwhile, there are starving children in Africa.

She's strutting her I'm-a-rich-bitch strut in that pic above. Maybe she considers it $1500 worth of therapy? Gotta feed that ego. I agree with you, she's cray.

This is a dumb blog post. I would obvioulsy never get a haircut that expensive, but then again I don't make 10 million dollars everytime I'm in a movie (obviously I've never been in a movie). It's her money, she can do whatever the hell she wants with it.

But women who spend $800 to $1,000 every 6-9 months for Japanses hair straightening are okay right?

Even if I had as much dough as her, I STILL wouldn't drop $1500 at a Salon. Chewy at the local barbershop in LA, will hook you up with a better style and only $10đź’©
