And aside from the expense of fancy skin care products, many of them have quite a few ingredients we can't pronounce, which makes it kind of scary to put them all over our face and bodies.

I love reading about these home made beauty treatments. I remember my mother and grandmother soaking their hair in lemon juice in the summer to lighten it...and also using beer and mayo for shine. These sound pretty neat, although I dont think I would like using sour cream on my face O.o

Baking soda works well ... just don't get it into your eyes! :)

I use surgar scrubs a lot, they make your skin so smooth and soft.


Another thing is honey - it's really good for your skin. I use it in scrubs but you can make a mask with honey and oatmeal and basically whatever you want and it's really great.
