8 Cheap Drugstore Beauty Finds That Will Make You Look Like a Million Bucks

drugstore cheap beauty productsYou know what I love? A good bargain, that's what. I'm also a beauty product addict, and I'm not against spending a pretty penny for a luxurious item if I really love something. But there are SO MANY great beauty finds right at the drugstore -- and quite often the only difference between a "high end" product and the drugstore version is the packaging and name brand. (Not always, of course, but often.)

Here are my top picks for beauty products that not only stand up to their more expensive counterparts, but that will become staples in your makeup bag!

  • My Favorite Mascara Ever

LOVE. THIS. STUFF. I get to try out tons of different mascara brands and formulas for work, and CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara is the one that I buy myself over and over again. I don't care for the waterproof formula, so beware you don't buy it by accident. ($6.94 at Target.com)

  • On-Trend, Long-Lasting Nailpolish

Don't you want every shade of the six colors in L'Oreal's latest "Trend-Setter" Color Riche collection? The top row from left to right: "Members Only," "Orange You Jealous," "Not a Cloud in the Sky." Bottom row: "New Money," "Crazy for Chic," and "Royally Reinvented." The formula, containing something called crystal acrylics, is meant to last up to 10 days. ($5.99 at CVS.com)

  • Want to 'Rewind' the Clock?

Magic in a little bottle! I'm addicted to this Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Makeup -- it comes with a sponge attached to the bottle and you just rub it on all over for a really nice, light coverage. The formula contains super concentrated Goji berry and collagen, plus SPF 18, so there could be something behind the claim that it "erases" fine lines. Either way, I love the way it makes my skin look better! ($10.39 at Drugstore.com)

  • Drew Barrymore's 'Glow Baby Glow'

That's right, Drew Barrymore has a makeup line called "Flower" (obviously) -- it's sold exclusively at Walmart and has some great items. I'm a fan of the Flower ultra-smooth pressed powder blush and bronzer duo palettes like the "Glow Baby Glow" set pictured here: perfect for a girl like me who wears sunblock and a hat to the pool all summer but still wants that "sunkissed" look. The oil free formula goes on smooth and is nice and blendable. ($9.98 at Walmart)

  • Just What You Need for a Perfect Cat Eye

Wet n Wild H20 Proof Liquid Eyeliner in Ultra Black is damn cheap, and it's damn awesome. It goes on clean, doesn't smudge, and stays put. Oh WnW, I love you just as much as I did in high school, when your lipliner #666 went with me everywhere. ($3.99, you guys! Walgreens.com)

  • Sensational Shadow

The super cool thing about Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow & Liner collections is that you can use all the shimmery colors dry or wet, so they work as shadow and liners. I love the "nude" collection, pictured here; you can go light and creamy, or make a dramatic smoky eye with the beautifully pigmented shades. ($9.69 at Target.com)

  • Oh-So-Smoochable Lips

    Image via Maybelline

Warning: Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balms are slightly addictive. You might buy one and then in a few months start finding them everywhere: your purse, your pocket, your desk, your car ... they're so inexpensive, the formula is ultra moisturizing, and they give your pout just the right mount of shine. I tend to go for the tinted shades, which provide a nice, glossy coverage, but the clear options are great too. ($2.97 at Walmart.com)

  • Tools of the Trade

You know about Sonia Kashuk, right? She is AMAZE and the line she developed for Target never fails to impress. Her makeup brushes are of such great quality, they really stand up to higher-priced versions. You can buy individual brushes, but this Sonia Kashuk Essential Eye Kit is a worthwhile, affordable investment. ($11.49 only at Target)
