Gwyneth Paltrow Crowned ‘Most Beautiful Woman’ Because NOTHING About Her Is Ugly

This Just In 21

Gwyneth PaltrowWell I can't say that I'm totally surprised. It's official: Gwyneth Paltrow is People magazine's 2013 World's Most Beautiful Woman. Other big names on the magazine's list? Adele, Jennifer Lawrence, Beyonce, and good ol' Kristen Stewart.

My first reaction? An eye roll. I mean seriously, we all hear about how freakin' awesome the Iron Man 3 star is every day. It's easy to hold a little grudge against an actress who literally seems to have it all. She's married to Coldplay hunk Chris Martin, she has her own Goop empire, and she has two perfect children with freakishly adorable yet perfect names -- Apple and Moses -- to boot.

The more I think about it, though, the more I'm convinced she deserves the honor. Gwyneth is beautiful -- and not just because of what's on the outside. Yeah, we mock her "perfect" life, but the woman has her ducks in a row. Gwyneth exhibits that beauty isn't just skin deep, it's on the inside too.

I look at Gwyneth Paltrow and I see someone who has found balance in her life and I envy that. She knows what's important to her and makes those things a priority without stressing herself out. Sure, she's a great actress, but what makes her really beautiful in my eyes and worthy of this title is the fact that she just exudes inner peace. Even if she does keep her kids on a "low-carb diet" (which she refutes in the Most Beautiful issue, saying they have LOADS of pasta in her home).

More from The Stir: Gwyneth Paltrow's Shocking Confession Makes Her Seem Like a Complete Hypocrite

But really, think about it. Gwyneth is known EVERYWHERE for her healthy lifestyle. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've heard about her affinity for protein smoothies, two-hour daily workouts, and need for a solid sleep cycle. In my eyes, the woman is beautiful because she's true to herself. Sure, slapping on a whole slew of makeup and slipping into a little black dress can make a woman appear beautiful (she does that well, too), but being beautiful is so much more than that. It's finding that inner peace.

Congrats Gwnny. Now, if you wanna celebrate with protein smoothies at Jamba Juice, you know how to find me. Except let's be real, I know there's too much sugar in those.

Do you think People made the right choice by selecting Gwyneth Paltrow as their Most Beautiful Woman?

Kristen Stewart made that list?  Eww.  There is nothing beautiful about her--inside or out.

I don't find Gwenyth particularly attractive.  She certainly would not have topped my list.

While Gwyneth Paltrow is beautiful, I can think of plenty of famous to moderately famous women who are more beautiful. Shrugs.

I don't find her particularly attractive but I think it's funny that a week of two ago she was voted the most hated celebrity.

The snark is strong with this one.

I find it interesting that I just read an article this morning from another magazine talking about a 'reader's poll' voting her the "most hated celebrity".  People need to stop focusing so hard on beauty or hatred, this is how bullies are made.

obviously selected by women and gay men.

I think you have to be blind not to think she's pretty - are there prettier people? Yes, there always is. But I agree with the author - she seems to have it all together. Plus, have you seen her legs? Wow.

I feel they made a perfect choice. Yes , she is a movie star and Yes she can afford all the anti aging products and surgeries she may want, however she looks more beautiful than a lot of other celebs I have seen in the magazine lately. Other than the fact that I will never be as thin as her, her look has always been down to earth and  I could relate to it. I feel the people issue is more about being comfortable with yourself and being healthy. She is both.

Wasn't she the lady who said she would "rather smoke crack than eat cheese out of a can?" Joking or not, I can rarely stand anything that comes out of her mouth. She is about as 'real' as a $3 bill, that one.
