I don't know if Kourtney Kardashian's baby daddy Scott Disick is upset that his past as a cover model for a young adult series has been uncovered, but knowing him, I'm sure he feels that any publicity is good publicity. Who knows -- maybe it was even him who leaked the story. I can see that.
Regardless, it turns out that Scott modelled for Lauren Brooke's novels called Heartland. A tag line for one of the books reads: "Healing horses, healing hearts."
It writes itself.
Before Scott turned into a four-piece-suit-wearing-somewhat-lovable-douche, he was just a shy, 17-year-old with a bad haircut looking to heal some hearts and some horses. Adorbs.
There's a real kicker to the story, though. The then 11-year-old model who posed with Scott for the covers told BuzzFeed that Mr. Disick wasn't as dashing back then as he is now.
He always came alone and acted like the silent mysterious type. He would wear really baggy clothes and had no sense of real style.
Scott? Silent? Mysterious? No sense of style? This isn't the over the top loud-mouth and sorta suave guy we know and (kinda) love now.
I wonder what Old Scott would think of that Keeping Up episode where New Scott's viscerally appalled by the sweatsuit Rob Kardashian wears to their business meeting. Wow, Mr. Disick's certainly come a long way from his days of wearing "really baggy clothes."
I'm also curious how Old Scott would react to New Scott's technicolor dream coat and bedazzled staff. Think he'd silently and mysteriously make the gag face?
Me neither. I mean, only a fool wouldn't have loved that outfit.
If you're so inclined, the books are still for sale, so go ahead, read about Scott Disick in the heartland then let us know how it goes. Something tells me it won't be nearly as entertaining as watching him make a fool of himself on reality TV.
What do you think of Scott's modeling days?
