Seriously, it's kind of infuriating. Not that I begrudge '90s supermodel Stephanie Seymour's seemingly ageless body, it's just that it's maddening how it defies time, logic, and gravity. Is she some sort of wizard? Seymour, who's allegedly 44 in human years but clearly 24 in wizard years, was spotted this holiday looking insanely good in a bikini, and now, she's at it again looking unfairly flawless in her new ad campaign for Jason Wu.
Wu knew what he wanted the model in his ads to convey and Stephanie was obviously the only choice. He explained to Women's Wear Daily:
I wanted to cast a strong woman with definite sex appeal for my spring collection .... Stephanie came to mind as the perfect muse for this collection.
Amen, Wu. There's nothing stronger or sexier in the world than a 44-year-old mother of four who knows she's still got it. Sure, it doesn't hurt that she has legs and cheekbones for days and hair that I only dream about, but still -- he took a "risk" using a model who's old enough to be the mother of some of the top names out there today, and it paid off.
Worth noting, a Stir staffer spotted Stephanie on the streets of New York City recently and can attest, first hand, that she's "ageless, even close up." Wu certainly knew what he was doing.
And listen. I don't know what's in this Seymour lineage, but whatever it is, it's certainly something magical. Not only does Stephanie look like she stopped growing older in her mid-20s, but Jane Seymour, who's 61, also looks incredibly good. I don't think they're related, but I'd certainly like to see more Seymours in my life -- these women are an inspiration.
Which Seymour do you think looks better for her age: Stephanie or Jane?
