In what has to be one of the most exciting pieces of celebrity hair related news this year -- Kim Kardashian just got bangs. She went for the drastic hairdo change yesterday and announced her new style on Twitter, saying:
Fun shoot today @chrismcmillan He just can't control his scissor hands! #bangs
This photo of Kim was taken as she arrived at LAX, and I gotta say -- I'm lovin' the bangs on her. They really do look gorgeous, but I can't help but wonder if she's going to wake up one day in the near future and wish she hadn't taken the plunge.
I mean, bangs can be pretty tough to get used to, especially if you've never had them, or haven't had them in a while.
I remember cutting them back in high school, and I think I was happy with them for about a day or two before they started driving me absolutely nuts. They tickled my forehead, got in my eyes, and bothered me to the point that I really wasn't sure how I was going to stand it anymore.
I couldn't wait for them to grow out, but unfortunately that process proved to be even more annoying than the bangs themselves. Having them in my face was next to unbearable, but pinning them back looked really ridiculous, so I was forced to just stick it out and wait until they were long enough to shove behind my ears.
And I vowed from that day forward never to get bangs again, and as of today, I haven't.
But I can't lie -- it's hard not to be tempted to cut them after seeing how great they look on other women. They really are so cute and fresh and are such a nice change -- and it's even harder to resist hopping on the bangs bandwagon since Kate Middleton joined the club.
(Hmm. Kate Middleton got bangs, and then suddenly Kim Kardashian got bangs too. She's been inspired by Kate's fashion, and now she's got her hair, is a pregnancy the next likely step?)
Do you have bangs, and do you like them?
