The No Need to Suck It In Scarf

Call it creative camouflage. A beautiful scarf isn't just an eye-catching accessory. This 48" Chelsey Paisley Scarf ($78, Nordstrom.com) can hide your problem areas when the Christmas cookie bloat is at its worst.

Wrap blouses and dresses, pencil skirts, tailored clothing, Spanx and proper sizes can make almost anyone look a little smaller. Hourglass is not so easy to dress as many people think. I use a lot of seaming and accessories to make it work.

Something I learned from years of helping a friend dress is, if you have an apple figure, you might need to avoid clothing that wraps, but if your breasts aren't crazy big, double breasted designs with princess seaming can visually whittle a waist. And always maximize your nicest asset: legs!

The spanx bra doesn't come in nearly big enough sizes for me. 38 L is a hard one to find. And I'd pay for it in a heartbeat if they had one.

Put down the carbs and step away from the piles of sweets. If you want to lose weight, know that it takes discipline and hard work. Eat whole grains instead of white. Exercise more when you do indulge.

Spanx don't work for me. They roll up or down and shift everywhere. Wrap clothes don't work either. The girls are to big. They clothes don't lay right. Lol. Oh well.

pinkpaisley8709: "Put down the carbs and step away from the piles of sweets" Really?  Very catty.  And I think that everyone knows what losing weight takes, by now.
