Kim Kardashian Khloe KardashianAfter seeing this photo of Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian wearing colored jeans and yucking it up and having a good old time in them, I feel the overwhelming urge to make a confession.

I just "don't get" the whole colored jean trend.

Yes, I think they're fun. And yes, there are plenty of people who look really great in them (like store mannequin and a couple super-skinny 20-somethings I know).

But for the most part, I just can't figure out how so many women pull them off and actually feel good about doing it.

Ok, back to Kim and Khloe for a second. Um, in those pants, it would be pretty hard to miss either of them from a mile or two away, so they must not mind the fact that they both stick out like sore thumbs in those things.

And while it's kind of cute that they're sisters doing the whole matchy-matchy thing, the jeans aren't exactly the most flattering thing either of them has ever worn. (Don't they know the "when in doubt, stick to dark-colored denim" thing?)

But I guess I really can't fault either of them for giving colored jeans a shot, because everyone's wearing them these days. In case you hadn't noticed, they're all the rage right now, but even if it makes me the least cool person on the planet, there's no way I'm breaking down and buying a pair.

I'll admit that I've thought about it a couple of times, because I figure there must be some sort of secret rush of self confidence women feel after putting them on if so many have added them to their wardrobes, but every time I see them in the store -- I just can't do it.

And yes, there are a few reasons why. First, I KNOW they'll make my ass look way bigger than it already is by accentuating every single dimple. (Yes, they will.) Second, I worry that they'll make the cellulite on my upper thighs appear way more pronounced and visible. And third, I feel like people will think I'm a 35-year-old mom who is desperately trying to look 21 again. (And nobody appreciates that.)

Do you have a pair of colored jeans?
