Kourtney Kardashian Has a Style Secret Every Mom Will Die For (PHOTO)

kourtney kardashianHere's a picture of Kourtney Kardashian. She's a beautiful woman, but here? Here she looks just all right. No offense. Her hair's pulled into a bun; she's not wearing much makeup; and despite her being a Kardashian, her outfit is super casual. She basically looks like a normal mom at the park with her kid. But if you look a little bit closer, you'll notice that Kourtney knows a style secret you may not. A style secret that's every mom's best friend. Forever.

Kourtney's wearing a "high-low" t-shirt. A tee that's short in the front, long in the back (AKA a mullet shirt, AKA an asymmetrical shirt). And the reason the shirts -- which give you a rock-chic/boho-chic look, depending on how you wear it -- are your best friend is because, to put it bluntly, they hide your ass.

I wasn't aware of this gem of knowledge when I first bought a high-low shirt. I saw a tee that was cute and sort of different, so I purchased. But when I paired it with a pair of leggings and wedge booties, I realized: Sweet baby Jesus, this hides my arse!

Like most moms, after I had my kid, I wasn't in peak physical condition. With no time or desire to work out, lots of my body parts took on a less attractive state than usual -- and I basically lived in high-low shirts and leggings. (Still do, actually.) Unlike a plain old long t-shirt and leggings, a high-low top adds a little bit of -- I hate this word, but I'm going to use it: Pizazz. Basically, you look like you've made some effort even when you haven't.

So, if you don't have a high-low top, ladies, go out and treat yourself to one. I guarantee you, you'll get your money's worth within the first month.

What clothes did you live in after giving birth?

I love Kourtney's style! And I love Scott's use of sarcasm.

I'm sorry...but why is everyone always trying to hide their backside? I for one think men find that more attractive. Having a booty doesn't make you "fat" or "over weight" it makes you look like a woman...

That shirt style isn't so hot for most figures, actually. It doesn't even look that great on her. The rear view looks WIDE because of the shirt. I understand crutch clothing, though. I sometimes feel I live in cardigans and camis.

I hate to see yoga pants everywhere, because I wish more of us would take a smidge more time for ourselves, but yoga pants are drastically better than seeing leggings all over the place. Or, more to the point, seeing yoga pants all over is better than seeing cellulite lumps and the outline of strangers' vulvas everywhere.

Thankfully after giving birth I only had to wear maternity clothes for about 2 weeks and then I was back into my old wardrobe. I did have to make concessions on my tops for breast feeding, but I was back in my jeans in no time. (Breastfeeding: the miracle weight loss trick)
