Michelle Obama & Ann Romney's 6 Hottest Election Looks (PHOTOS)

michelle obama and ann romneyHappy election day, y'all! While many of you are headed out to the polls to cast your vote for President, I'm feeling a teeny bit nostalgic for the campaign trail already. While most of you will be celebrating the end of all those horrific political ads and the tortuously long commercials, I'll be mourning the end of all that fantastic campaign fashion. I mean, c'mon, won't you?

The dresses! The designers! The Ann Romney vs. Michelle Obama Twitter debates! These women have been going head-to-head in an all-out style war for the past year, and today, it officially comes to an end. Suffice to say that I'm just a bit sad that for the next three and a half years, I'll only have one FLOTUS to obsess over instead of two ladies vying for the coveted title. So before you head out to support Barack Obama or Mitt Romney, take a moment to reflect just how hard their wives and their stylists have worked to keep their look fresh and feminine.

Who do you think killed in on the campaign trail this year? Did you love Michelle's or Ann's look more?

To start things off, let's talk about AR. Who could forget Ann's emerald stunner? Not me! I love that Mitt's right-hand (wo)man dared to wear ombre and then upped the ante by pairing it with a translucent statement necklace. Hail to the couture chief, y'all.

  • Michelle Obama

MO already has some serious style cred under her belt, what with four years in office and all. But damn, does she look beautiful in this off-the-shoulder oxblood gown or what?! This dress is so spot-on. The A-line cut is feminine, simple, and flattering.

  • Ann Romney

A first lady wannabe with a little flair? I'll take it. I'm awarding Ann style moment of the 2012 campaign in this perfectly bright, polka-dotted blazer and sweater combo. It's so easy, effortless, and everyday, don't you think?

  • Michelle Obama

If you're looking at this picture and thinking, "Dang! I need me a pencil skirt," join the club. This easy look is the perfect crossover between day and night, and Michelle's keyhole top adds a hint of sexy to an overall classic, regal outfit choice.

  • Ann Romney

Forget foreign policy. Let's weigh in on Ann's geometric, abstract floral frock, shall we? While it sounds like a lot goin' on, Mrs. Romney sizzles in this dress and looks dynamite. I'd have to say it was one of her most daring moments, but make no if's, and's, or but's about it, she looked elegant and super feminine in this get-up.

  • Michelle Obama

I love, love, L-O-V-E this look on Mrs. Obama. Those killer shoulders, the crushed velvet with tulle overlay -- oh. my. god. There is simply no contending with this one. When it comes to velvet, MO takes the cake.
