Miley Cyrus & Liam Helmsworth's Matching Tattoos Aren't Hearts, Thank God

miley cyrus liam helmsworthIt's a well documented fact that the Miley Cyrus likes her ink. The young starlet has about 14 tattoos at this point on all parts of her body and now, it seems, she's gotten her fiance Liam Helmsworth onto the tattoo train -- Miley posted a photo of her man's new ink, which is a phrase that reads "If he fails, at least fails while daring greatly." Deep, y'all. Sounds like something Gael would get.

Anyway, if you're thinking to yourself, wow that Liam's tattooed sentence sure sounds familiar, it's because Miley got something like this inked on her arm back in July. Yes, Miley and Liam now have matching tattoos. Aw.

Miley's reads: "So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat" ... and Liam's is the sentence that comes after Miley's from the famous address, called Citizenship in a Republic, that Roosevelt gave post-presidency in 1910.

I'm not one for couples getting matching tattoos -- I mean, the jinx factor on that is pretty high -- but I'm into Miley and Liam's. Each tattoo, each sentence, makes sense alone but they become stronger and more powerful when they're read together. That's the kind of "matching" tats I like -- related, but not identical.

Plus, I gotta hand it to these kids, not only are the sentences meaningful, but the tattoos themselves are executed beautifully. I like the messy script -- makes it seem like it they were lifted right from Teddy's notebook or something.

And these tats could've been way worse. Let's face it, when you're 19 and 22 and engaged, it wouldn't be unheard of to get like, matching heart tattoos, or initials, or some other cliche symbol of your undying love. But the way Miley and Liam's are "matching"? I like it.

Do you like Liam and Miley's matching tattoos?
