She's so adorable and lovable and squeaky-clean and all that good stuff, but can someone please tell me why Taylor Swift insists on dressing like a 1950s housewife? Oh yeah, that's right -- it's probably because she's obsessed with looking like Jackie O. now that she's all nice and settled into her relationship with boyfriend Conor Kennedy.
And since the Kennedy women don't exactly tend to be huge risk takers when it comes to fashion, Taylor must obviously be trying to stay as closely in line with playing the part of a Kennedy wife as she can. I mean, is there really any other explanation for this matronly looking outfit she wore while visiting Radio 1 studios in London?
Yeah, yeah, I know she looks gorgeous and it's nice to see a 22-year old girl wearing something that doesn't expose every square inch of her body -- but don't you think this particular skirt and top combo are just a little bit on the housewifey side?
Can't you just picture her popping a meatloaf into the oven and standing in a retro-style kitchen patiently waiting to hear the sweet sound of "Honey, I'm home!" coming from the foyer of her four-bedroom center-hall colonial?
I know she's really digging the Kennedy vibe right now and wants to look refined and sophisticated, but there's plenty of time for all that down the road if she does wind up joining the family for good someday. In the meantime, she should embrace the fact that she's a 22-year-old beauty with a great figure who shouldn't be afraid to dial down the demure -- even just a tad. (Flaunt it while you've got it, honey!)
And considering Conor Kennedy is a hot-blooded 18-year-old guy, somehow I'm guessing he won't mind if she steps out of "character" and actually dresses her age -- at least for another year or two.
Do you think Taylor should dress more in line with her youthful age, or do you like her reserved style?
