I've said it before and I'll say it again -- there is absolutely, positively no bigger buzz-kill to a woman's ego than having to deal with stubborn cellulite. And the worst part of the dreaded cottage cheese phenomenon is that it doesn't discriminate, so even if you're stick thin, there's still a chance that you'll wind up with dimpled thighs. (So unfair.)
While there are plenty of super-pricey med-spa procedures and really expensive creams that claim to reduce the appearance of cellulite, it's not very appealing to go out and spend a ton of dough on something that may or may not work. And that's why I couldn't help but be intrigued when I heard that smearing coffee grounds on your skin may help get rid of cellulite.
According to an expert at Women's Health, mixing ground coffee with water and a little olive oil, then massaging the paste into your skin in a circular motion in the shower for two to four minutes is "moderately effective" at diminishing the appearance of unsightly cellulite.
Ok, I'll bite -- and I'll plan on picking up a fresh bag of ground coffee the next time I'm at the store. Heck, I'll bathe in coffee grounds if it means my butt and thighs won't look like golf balls anymore.
