Did you hear the one about the time that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got married? Oh right, because it actually happened. You heard it right: the two lovebirds tied the knot at a plantation in South Carolina over the weekend surrounded by friends and family. From what I can gather, the whole shebang sounded pretty perfect. I wouldn't mind if Florence Welch from Florence + the Machine performed at my wedding live or anything. Yeah, that happened, too.
Alas, forget what cake was served or what song Blake, 25, and Ryguy, 35, danced to for their first dance. What I want to know about is the dress.
What we do know? The dress was Marchesa, but that's it. Regardless, I have a few guesses myself about the style, but heck, Blake Lively could look good in a paper bag.
Let's think a bit: Blake and Ryan tied the knot on an absolutely breathtaking plantation in the good ol' South. If that doesn't scream simplistic elegance, well, I don't know what does. I can envision Blake wearing something form-fitting, close the the body, timeless. Heck, those three phrases pretty much describe every designer piece the actress has ever worn.
Style-wise, I'm thinking something similar to Megan Fox's flowing Armani Prive gown from her nuptials in 2010. Simple, flowy, and a design like Megan's would allow for Blake to wear the dress and look fabulous, not the other way around.
Oh, and I wouldn't be surprised if the dress had a super long train. You know what they say, the longer the train, the longer the marriage. Heck, Blake's gonna need all the luck she can get considering Ryan's track record a la Scarlett Johansson and his engagement to Alanis Morissette.
I for one am waiting anxiously to see how gorgeous she looked on her big day. Check out some more of Blake and Ryan's wedding day details, here:
What sort of dress do you think Blake wore on her big day?
