"Bye bye brown hair." That was the first warning Jessica Alba tweeted to her many followers last Thursday, just days before turning her brunette locks blond.
This is the first time the star has lightened up in nearly three years. Posting pics of her new ombre locks on Twitter, the mom to Honor, 4, and Haven, 1 (with hubby Cash Warren), revealed why she opted for the sun-inspired 'do.
Alba changed her locks to reprise the role of sexy stripper Nancy for Sin City 2, the sequel to the 2005 cult classic. It's certainly a flirty, fun look for the mommy entrepreneur who has busied herself in recent years building The Honest Company, a line of organic products for baby and home.
It took a couple of treatments to get the perfect tone, and once it was done, she just had one thing to say about the dye job: "She got roots that Nancy," she tweeted. Alba didn't waste any time showing off her new shade. On Sunday, she tweeted more pics from the gun range. "What a way to start the day -- training for a movie is sorta fun," she wrote. Now Alba's clearly got a killer look to match!

I know this whole "ombre" coloring is the latest fad for hair, but it's so funny that 5 years ago everyone would have just thought she hadn't bothered to touch up her roots for a few months.
I must be out of the loop because it just like she's got a lot of root grow out to me.
