Gwyneth Paltrow Without Makeup Proves All Her Goopiness Is Worth It

gwyneth paltrowWe can all poke loving fun at our queen Gwyneth Paltrow for her over-the-top recommendations (Turkish baths and $90 white t-shirts much?), but you cannot deny that whatever she's doing is working. The mother of two was spotted leaving a Brentwood, California restaurant yesterday without makeup, and holy skincare regimen, she doesn't look a day over 30. Gwyneth, by the way, turns 40 next month.

Gwyn hasn't been shy about letting us in on her secrets, so let's take a look at some of the advice she's dolled out over the years about skincare, beauty, and staying young. Maybe if we start now, we'll look half as good as she does at 39.

Before heading to the Emmys, Gwyn prepped her skin with an Apple Stem Cell facial from Sonya Dakar. Doesn't it sound like she had some of daughter Apple's skin sewn into her face, or something? Alas, I think they mean apple the fruit. Whatever it is, it looks like it's worked wonders for Gwyn. And there's good news -- Sonya's line of skincare doesn't look like it'd totally break the bank.

When she's not applying fruit to her face, she's drinking it by the pint. Gwyneth's known for her strict diet and exercise program, which includes working out more than two hours a day and periodical seven-day juice cleanses. Seven. Days. All that healthiness certainly makes her shine from the inside out, but I don't know. I'm kind of a fan of chewing.

And when Gwyneth imbibes too much, she has just the thing to release all those toxins, something I'm sure does wonders for her complexion. She recommends Hydrotherapy in an icy then hot shower, a steam or two, and lots of walking around in this huge Turkish bath that you don't have in your house. I'm sure she emerges fresh-faced ... and a little dizzy.

So there we have it -- use Sonya Dakar products, drink juice, exercise, and detox after drinking. It's good enough for Gwyn so it's good enough for us. And the proof that it works is in her face -- the woman looks magnificent. Or as I'm sure Gwyn would say, magnifique.
