Natalie Portman Wears Long Sleeves the Right Way on Her Wedding Day (VIDEO)

Style Savvy 7

natalie portman and Benjamin Millepied marriedI was starting to feel like this was never going to happen. A HUGE mazel tov goes out to Natalie Portman and her longtime boyfriend choreographer Benjamin Millepied who got married over the weekend. The duo tied the knot under a chuppah at a super low key ceremony at a private home in Big Sur, California.

We may not know much about the nuptials, but the first pictures of her wedding dress are emerging and I've just gotta come out and say it: She looks radiant. Generally I'm not one for a wedding dress with sleeves a la Kate Middleton or Drew Barrymore, but considering Portman tied the knot in a traditional Jewish ceremony, it was only appropriate.

I understand Natalie is a super stylish momma, and this sort of dress isn't something we'd generally expect from her. This is the same woman who was dressed perfectly throughout her entire pregnancy with son Aleph. However, considering she wanted to remain respectful while maintaining some flair -- I think she did a great job with this Rodarte number.

Portman's dress was a perfect white A-line style, tea length, and featured a sheer overlay covering her arms and chest. Her easy nude shoes, simplistic veil, and adorable headband perfectly completed the look. And that smile, well, that smile says it all. Ugh, I gush for her!

Her dress was beautiful!  It definitely suited her.

I think the tea length and long sleeves were an unusual choice on the same dress, but she looked lovely all the same.

It was beautiful but I wish it was floor length, she looked like a girl getting ready for first communion, not a woman at her Jewish wedding with the tea length to me.  Other than that it was great.

@Heather

I was thinking the exact same thing. Looks like a 1st communion dress.

Finally! A young lady who respects herself and follows a tradition. I wish more young girls would follow suit.
