Teen Mom Kailyn Lowry's already proven her love of ink by getting many tattoos -- including the infinity one she shares with boyfriend Javi. But she's nowhere near done with her body art. Kail tweeted that she's got "another back tat session" today, and it's "so close to being done." But as far as done with all the ink she wants to get? No way!
Just last month she was chatting with her Twitter followers about half-sleeve tattoos. She even got into discussing what brides who have them look like and posted a photo of a tattooed bride noting, "Who says brides with half sleeves can't be beautiful?!" So, if she was just mulling over taking the plunge then, now it sounds like she's biting the bullet. Yesterday, she also tweeted, "Half sleeve on deck." Awesome!
She elaborated:
I'll have both half sleeves & proud in my wedding dress. ... I'm just doing what keeps ME happy & hoping to inspire others to do the same.
Aww. Good for her! I'm sure she will be a true inspiration to other women who are on the fence about using body art as a form of self-expression. I do wonder, however, why she's being so defensive about being an inked-up bride? Like she tweeted last month, who said brides with half sleeves can't be beautiful? Maybe she's been hearing disparaging remarks about the ink from family, friends, or some of her Twitter followers. If so, that's a shame ...
But now that she's made the commitment to get the work done, she should own it! If it's what she truly wants, having half sleeves definitely won't detract from her beauty as a bride some day. No matter what those Negative Nellies say.
How do you feel about half-sleeve tattoos? How about on brides?

Sorry for the mini rant. :)
Nothing wrong with tattoos! I don't personally have any but I might get one someday. If I ever do get one, it will be something I really think means something. My husband has tats and they don't bother me. People who are offended by body art are probably offended by everything that isn't hoity toity. Reminds me of this one lady I know who farts in the bathroom so her family won't have to smell it. Seriously? It's your family. Farting happens. Get over it :-)
Well, since opinions are asked for -- no, I think half sleeves are ugly. Full sleeves are worse. Never seen either kind on anyone that I could honestly say "Boy, that really looks great" or "Man, that really makes that person look better". I usually think "There's a cry for attention." I really fail to see the point of a whole or half sleeve. You absolutely have the right to do it. But then you also need to accept that some, like myself, will judge you (negatively) for it.One or two are fine.
The moral values in this country have gone to pot...literally. Tattoos are ugly no matter where they are and God did not intend for us to have them. We are defacing our bodies. That is not why He gave them to us for. We are supposed to take care of them, not abuse them. Short sleeve, long sleeve and all over, it does not matter, they are ugly. Try getting a really great career with tats all over. It won't happen if they can be seen. That is the same with face hardware. Our company would't hire you with face hardware.
And FYI, not everyone believes in god. So I could care less what "he" thinks I do with my body. I am not abusing my body. I do not smoke, drink or do drugs. I eat pretty damn healthy and like to use natural green products in my home, on myself and my children. Self expression in the form of ink is not looked down upon anymore. Judgemental bit**es who claim to be "christians" are the ones who should be ashamed of themselves.
