Julianne Hough is stunning, isn't she? Seriously, the woman could throw on a paper bag and still look absolutely beautiful. It makes me sort of wanna hate her, but well ... I just can't.
Just look at how gorgeous the former Dancing With the Stars gem looks at the Rock of Ages premiere last week. That neon dress is a bold move, but heck, that's what the kids are into these days. Perfect with those red lips!
There's one thing that's not jiving for me here though. Yup, you guessed it -- the bun, otherwise known as a messy top knot. It's so messy. So random. So just ... sitting there.
Julianne, what were you thinking?!
It's not that I don't like the top knot. I respect a woman's right to throw their hair up into a messy bun or ponytail, grab their things, and walk out the door. As women, we can't always spend time getting ready just to head to the grocery store. Or the mall. Or well, everywhere.
But come on here people -- Julianne's attending a red carpet event in a dress that's probably worth more than my monthly paycheck. Why ruin a gorgeous gown by schlopping your hair up in a mess on top of your head? Perhaps if the bun was more structured a la Kim Kardashian, then it would have worked better.
Now that I think of it, just the other day she rocked a MUCH more elegant hairstyle (and showed some side boob) that would have looked perfect with this neon number. Hey, to each her own bun. Like I said, even with the messy updo, Julianne still looks fierce.
What do you think of the messy top knot? Is this a hairstyle you would rock?

The lipstick clashes with the dress, and that dress is a super ugly hybrid neon green and yellow color. It would be better if it was straight up yellow or straight up green. I think the bun is the best part of her ensemble. Also, it looks way to tight considering how in shape she is you can see her bellybutton thru it.
Emily, do you do anything all day besides writing blurbs about how ugly something is about a celebrity? Just wonderin'.
