No one told Selena about the white under her eyes because its a powder that only shows up with a camera flash. Obviously, someone would have noticed otherwise.
My sister had this happen to her for her prom. She looked gorgeous in person but in all of the pictures she looked like one of the characters from twilight, all white and sparkly.
The white powder is MUFE HD "transluecent" powder.. It gives off something called. You can't see it on the skin, but the camera flash can illuminate it if it's not blended out like crazy.. it's a pain in the ass, but unfortunately a great product when you blend it in properly.
Now.. where are the pictures of the blogger for us to pick apart and make fun of?

Her makeup artist is to blame, not Selena herself. The white powder is used to catch any other makeup that falls during application and afterwards is supposed to be removed.
