I'm Celebrating National Swimsuit Confidence Week
Last year, Lands' End held its inaugural National Swimsuit Confidence Week, and convinced nearly 100 bloggers to post photos of themselves in their swimsuits.
I have to say, I LOVED the result.
Not many of us are thrilled with the way we look in a swimsuit.
Seeing so many women dare to put photos of themselves in a swimsuit online for all the world to see made me feel a lot better about my own body, in a way that seeing photos of models like the one to my left do not.
So when I was asked to participate in this year's National Swimsuit Confidence Week, I took a deep breath ... and said yes.
Here I am in MY Lands' End swimsuit, feeling, well, not all that confident to be honest with you. However, I wanted to put it out there because it helped me so much last year to see actual real women in swimsuits, looking proud and happy and feeling good about themselves, and inspiring me to feel the same way in MY swimsuit, even though I'm not a size two.
The OTHER reason I agreed to participate in this particular campaign (event though I turn down nearly every campaign and product review I'm offered) is that I'm a HUGE fan of Lands' End swimsuits, and if I could, I'd buy one for every one of you. I own three and all of them are slimming, flattering, and comfortable. They are also expensive, BUT Lands' End has sales all the time! Get on the e-mail list and keep up with the sales- You'll end up getting a great deal on your swimsuit in no time.
So now that I've showed you my own imperfect body, tell me how you'd rate your own swimsuit confidence. Are you dreading swimsuit season? And if you do feel good about yourself in a swimsuit, how did you get that way? I'd love to hear your stories.
And if you'd like to see more photos of REAL women in their swimsuits, check out the Curvy Girl Guide.
