I guess everyone has an off day. Kate Middleton and Prince William attended an event at the Imperial War Museum in London recently and the Duchess stepped out in a soft gray, long-sleeve dress and gold belt. As always, she looked completely polished and effortlessly chic ... but something was a little off. I hate to say it, but I am not a fan of this half-updo. It's a little junior prom, no? We're all so used to seeing the Duchess' gorgeous flowing locks fall along her shoulders. Her hair, like burnt amber waves of grain, is her bread and butter and to see it pulled back like this in curly-cues and bobby pins is an affront to her god-given follicles.
I can't get behind this 'do. I mean, all that's missing are those pieces that you pull out along the hair line on each side of the face and curl them with a curling iron, a photo shoot on your parents' front lawn, and an awkward boutonniere pinning.
And now that Snooki basically has ownership of all the half-up hairdos, Kate shouldn't even attempt such a plebeian look. She's royalty, after all. Her handlers should know better than to fuss with her hair like this. If she's seen wearing a bump-it, we know we've got big problems.
Hopefully the next time we see Kate, she'll be back to her old ways -- those glossy chocolate waves can't be tied back for long.
What do you think of the Duchess' half-updo?

C'mon, she's trully a georgeous lady, even with what you call a "junior prom" do, she is far more proper and elegant than most.
Way too critical. If her hair is wrong, I don't want to be right. Most of us on our good days can't look as good as her on a so-called "bad day." So what does that mean for the rest of us? Give her a freaking break. She's gorg.
So according to you she can never do anything to her hair except have is free flowing? Hmm.
And since when does Snooki have the corner market on half-up hairstyles? I guess I never pay attention to her enough to realize she wears her hair like this. And really, I do not care how she waers her hair.
Maybe she just didn't want her hair getting in her face that day.
