lady gagaHey little monsters, it's Lady Gaga's birthday! The universe's biggest pop star turns 26 today and to celebrate, let's take a look at some of her craziest contributions to the world of fashion. She's worn dresses made of meat, she's worn hats made of hair, she's dressed as a man, and she's arrived in an egg. Just as her music has made an impact, her clothes have made an equally impressive statement, too.

So let's toast Mama Monster and take a walk down memory lane to look at her 6 most amazing fashion declarations.

Let's just start with the obvious: the meat dress. Lady Gaga wore this get-up to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I mean, nothing says "hard core rocker" like dressing up in animal flesh, right?

Then there's the shower curtain. She showed up to a radio interview in New York ready to brave the elements in a plastic, see-through shower liner skirt, a lace face veil, and sky-high platforms.

During an appearance on Good Morning America, the Gaga dressed as a condom to bring awareness to the HIV crisis.

But if you thought dressing like a prophylactic was outlandish, you might think that her Jo Calderone transformation for the VMAs was downright bizarre. According to some reports, Gaga even wore a prosthetic penis the whole night. Now that's dedication.

And who could forget the puffy white dress and puffy white wig she wore to the Brit Awards in 2010? It was so Amadeus and so awesome.

Last but not least, Gaga's Phantom of the Opera outfit from the 2009 VMAs was one of her best. It was so gorgeously dramatic -- just like her.

Happy birthday, Lady!
