5 Spring Fashion Trends You Must Wear NOW (PHOTOS)

first day of springWe did it, everybody! We did it. Today marks the first day of spring. Call it the spring equinox, or the vernal equinox, or the bestest equinox ... whatever you want, but it's that time of year when we can shove our puffer coats and our boots under the bed and break out the skirts, the sandals, and yeah, the smiles that we've been hiding all winter long. So! Without further ado, let's delve right into the best part about spring: the clothes.

We walked away from the Spring/Summer 2012 runways in September with about 20 or so trends, but here are my five favorites. They're wearable, they're inexpensive, and they're oh so springy.

  • Power Florals

    Zara Floral Print Blouse, $59.90

Power florals are so saucy, so in your face, and so ... flowery. Wear them as separates or all together (like model) to breathe some life into your spring wardrobe.

  • Tangerine Tangents

    Free People Moonlight dress, $114

This dress is great because it's a twofer: both off the shoulder and tangerine are trending this season.

  • Chevron Satisfaction

Missoni for Target Chevron Dress, $79

Despite being conventionally a fall/winter pattern, zig zags and chevrons were all over the spring runways. No one does it better than Missoni, or Missoni for Target.

  • Pastel Party Time, Excellent

    Zara pastel yellow blazer, $99.90

Basically, Zara is the best place to shop if you're looking for the latest trends. They literally rip things off the runway and make the looks themselves. This awesome pastel blazer is a perfect example ... Diane von Furstenberg, Tibi, and Phillip Lim each showed this at the tents this September.

  • Crystal Clear Sandals

    Steve Madden shoes, $89

Hot to trot! I love the clear shoe trend for spring. I'm worried about how comfortable they'll be, but hey, no pain, no gain.
